Job SummaryNetApp is seeking a Technical Hardware and Sustainability Product Manager to join our product management team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing hardware designs in large enterprise settings, working collaboratively with global R&D teams, and influencing product strategies. This role reports to the Senior Director of Product Management and involves working closely with Product leadership, Engineering, Procurement, Sustainability, and Support teams to define and execute a compelling product strategy in a rapidly growing segment.Additionally, we are looking for a strategic Sustainability Product Manager to lead our ESG initiatives. Responsibilities include developing sustainability strategies, reducing environmental impact, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. NetApp's GHG reduction targets are validated by SBTi. • Gather, validate, and evaluate product/market requirements through research and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with R&D to develop innovative technologies aligned with sustainability market needs.
• Define product vision, strategy, and lifecycle plans.
• Provide business insights through analytics and market research.
• Translate technical and sustainability requirements into business language.
• Gain knowledge of global sustainability strategies and advise corporate leaders.
• Develop and implement programs to reduce carbon footprint, waste, and resource use.
• Understand hardware's influence on power consumption and develop sustainability metrics reporting.
• Monitor, measure, and report on sustainability performance in compliance with standards like ESG, GRI, and UN SDGs.
• Collaborate across departments to embed sustainable practices.
• Assess environmental impacts across operations and supply chains.
• Engage stakeholders on sustainability policies and initiatives.
• Stay informed on sustainability trends, innovations, and regulations.
• Build partnerships with external organizations to advance sustainability goals.Job RequirementsTechnical & Industry Skills:
  • 3+ years in product management, with hardware experience.
  • Knowledge of server, networking, and storage technologies, including FCP, iSCSI, NVMe, SMB, NFS, S3, SATA, SAS, RAID, and erasure coding.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery architectures for SAN/NAS.
  • Willingness to handle technical customer issues and work in dynamic environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks, ESG reporting, and lifecycle assessments.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Jira.
    • Knowledge of CPU, GPU, DPU, PCIe, NVMe, SSDs.
    • Degree in Computer Science or related field; MBA is a plus.
    • Familiarity with environmental standards like ISO 14001, B Corp, LEED, GRI, Energy Star.
    • 3+ years in sustainability management or CSR.Travel Requirements: 15-25%
