Zachary Piper Solutions, LLC is a contractor supporting the federal government, specializing in cybersecurity operations, engineering, and compliance. This position supports a contract with the Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA). The NNSA has multiple offices and facilities across the United States, including its headquarters in Washington D.C., responsible for nuclear security, stockpile management, nonproliferation, and nuclear security.The Linux Engineer will design, implement, and optimize Linux systems, provide Tier 2 support for complex technical issues, manage physical and virtual Linux servers focusing on performance, security, and scalability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous process improvements.Clearance: Top Secret or QLocation: Washington, DCApplication Period: Opens on 05/04/2025, accepting applications for at least 30 days from the posting date.Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Linux systems, ensuring security and performance.
• Provide Tier 2 support for complex technical issues.
• Manage physical and virtual Linux servers, focusing on scalability and security.
• Develop and support automation scripts using Bash, Python, or other languages.
• Support and deploy Ansible playbooks for system configuration management.
• Support additional Linux distributions such as CentOS and Ubuntu as needed.
• Manage and support Splunk deployments on RHEL 9.x, ensuring effective performance monitoring.Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret or Q security clearance.
  • 5+ years of Linux engineering experience.
  • Experience with RHEL 9.x and scripting languages like Bash and Python.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.Compensation:
    • Up to $160,000 based on experience, full-time, direct-hire.
