Summary:The Associate Director, IT Business Partner (ITBP) serves
as a strategic partner to the R&D organization, aligning
technology initiatives with business objectives. This role builds
strong partnerships across teams to understand R&D strategies
and priorities and leads the execution of IT programs and projects
that support and advance those goals.Responsibilities:
- Partner with functional leaders and key stakeholders to
evaluate, recommend, and deliver IT solutions that align with
business strategies and corporate objectives.
- Lead IT project delivery for new applications and system
implementations, including RFP/RFI management, vendor selection,
contract negotiation, requirements gathering, business process
mapping, documentation, testing, and deployment.
- Identify and mitigate project risks in collaboration with
stakeholders, ensuring milestones, budgets, and timelines are
successfully managed.
- Serve as the IT subject matter expert for application upgrades,
integrations, and system enhancements across supported business
areas.
- Work cross-functionally to support 21 CFR Part 11 compliance,
ensuring systems are validated and meet requirements for electronic
records, audit trails, and regulatory standards.
- Drive process mapping and business process improvement
initiatives to streamline workflows and support scalable data and
analytics capabilities.
- Translate business priorities into actionable technology plans,
providing effort estimates and adapting to changing needs in a
dynamic environment.
- Communicate project progress, updates, and escalations to IT
and business leadership, acting as the primary IT contact for the
designated function.
- Ensure IT systems and activities align with corporate
compliance requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley, the Sunshine
Act, data privacy regulations, and Enterprise Risk Management.
- Provide general IT support and contribute to team
responsibilities as needed.Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management or related
discipline. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job
experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the
pharmaceutical/biotech industry, with increasing responsibility and
a focus on R&D functions preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of technical project management experience
preferred.Additional Skills/Experience:

- Strong knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and
Agile methodologies.
- Proficient in implementing, integrating, and managing Veeva
R&D Vaults in regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint-based collaboration tools,
including site setup, governance, and user adoption support.
- Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11, supporting validation, audit
trails, and electronic records in GxP systems.
- Skilled in translating complex technical concepts into clear,
actionable business requirements.
- Solid understanding of SaaS platforms, IT service management,
and governance best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively
across teams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving
skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Adaptable and committed to delivering value through responsive
project execution.
- Ability to travel 10 % domestic and internationally.
- All positions have an essential job function to be able to
perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San

Range:$146,000.00 - $190,000.00*This information is current as of
