Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Under minimum supervision, the
Internal Auditor will conduct audits of operations by assessing,
testing, and reviewing organization policies and internal controls.
The assignee will perform specialized clerical and audit duties
which require frequent exercise of independent judgment and a
thorough understanding of applicable procedures (within the
multiple departmental procedures). The position requires a high
level of competence to understand accounting procedures, Collective
Bargaining Agreements and a strong sense of responsibility, along
with experience with employee benefit plans and Taft-Hartley trust
funds. Position Functions and Responsibilities: Determine internal
audit scope and develop annual audit plans in response to
organization objectives, evolving department policies, and assessed
risks identified. Obtain, analyze and evaluate procedures, reports,
and data from various departments from within the organization Test
for compliance with organization’s internal control policies by
examining records, reports, and other supporting documentation.
Document process and prepare written assessments, including
identified audit findings/risks and recommended methods of
improvement and/or corrective action plans. Prepare and present
reports that reflect audit’s results for management review. Develop
and help implement changes in organization procedures and policies.
Maintain open communication with management. Conduct follow up
audits as necessary. Engage to continuously update themselves on
CSAC knowledge regarding Summary Plan Descriptions of various
trusts, Collective Bargaining Agreements, etc. Review and prepare
Certified Payroll audits for various Subscriber Agreements and
provide billing reports for employer collections. Promotes an
atmosphere of teamwork within the department and organization.
Ensures that deadlines are met for both internal and external
activities. Other duties and special assignments. Performs other
related duties as required. Provide excellent customer service to
all CSAC stakeholders. Complete administrative tasks needed to
maintain all department projects on track. Help with projects
assigned by and to the department. Required Qualifications and
Skills: College graduate or equivalent professional work experience
(5 years). Proficiency with all MS Office Suite products, with
advance level knowledge of Excel. Experience with benefits
administration and management software application preferred.
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed
reports. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High
attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. Knowledge of
accounting and procedures control principles is helpful. Ability to
analyze financial and non-financial reports and statements. High
level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential company
and related information. Excellent organizational and communication
skills (written & verbal). Strong interpersonal skills and ability
to interact effectively with all levels of management, visitors,
consultants, accountants, attorneys and other CSAC professionals
and vendors. Ability to multitask in diverse work environment with

trainings. Work Environment/ Physical Demands While performing the
duties of the job, the employee regularly works in an office
setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or
operate objects, tools or controls, and to reach with hands and
arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.
Ability to lift 10-50 pounds when necessary. The physical demands
described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee. Travel Minimal to no travel. Occasional travel to
business related events, offices and/or seminars may be
required.
